Join the Mission

Now through August 23rd: We would love for you to consider joining this summer opportunity to honor Jacob’s goal of “Do a good thing daily for someone else” by helping us gather donations of everyday necessities for Tucson’s unhoused and those currently in shelters who receive assistance through Primavera Foundation.  Summer’s heat and monsoon rains bring specific hardships to these people who need basic essentials and compassionate care.  We will distribute all donated items during the week of August 24th here in Tucson. 

 

Please remember that everyone we see who needs help is someone’s son or daughter, mom or dad, brother or sister. 

 

Thanks to your generosity, we have already purchased the following items to donate:

• 1100 disposable razors (highly needed and requested by men and women)

• 100 baseball caps

• 100 tubes of sunscreen

 

Here are other critical care items requested by the agencies serving our unhoused and shelter neighbors:

• Reusable water bottles

• Shampoo

• Body wipes (XL) with no alcohol in the ingredients

• Deodorant

• Body wash

• Toothbrush/toothpaste kits

• Underwear (men’s and women’s, all sizes)

• Shower shoes (flip flops or slip ins—women’s most popular size 7/8/9 and men’s 9/10/11

• Ear plugs

• Flashlights

• Food snacks such as non-melting granola bars, jerky sticks, peanut butter crackers, chicken or tuna in pouches, apple sauce pouches, high protein snacks

• Lunch boxes (especially with compartments)

• Backpacks

• Gift cards from Amazon, Costco, or Dollar Tree (we will use these to purchase the above items)
